Who we are
The Neubauer Group is located at the University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna, within the Unit of Medical Biochemistry in the Department of Biological Sciences and Pathobiology. Our group studies cellular signalling pathways, particularly the role of the transcription factor STAT5B, in processes that shape normal hematopoiesis as well as mechanisms that contribute to the pathogenesis of hematopoietic cancers.
Why/How are we going Green
Addressing climate change and limiting global warming requires a collective commitment to more sustainable ways of working and to reducing our impact on the environment. Research in the natural sciences can involve considerable consumption of energy, materials, and other resources; therefore, it is important that we consider sustainability in our everyday laboratory activities.
As part of the Green Labs Austria network, we are committed to reducing the amount of waste generated through our research by implementing workflows to separate and recycle our plastic materials. We will also make conscious efforts to choose more sustainable alternatives and to use water and energy efficiently in our daily operations whenever practical.
