Our research topic is about the human microbiome (gut, skin, nose, organs), as well as it’s interplay with the environmental microbiome (plants, indoor environment). Our work focuses on the detection of Bacteria and Archaea and their cultivation.
The different projects cover pregnancy and premature health, the olfactory sense, skin and gastrointestinal tract and the interaction between microbiome and immune system.
Moreover, we collaborate with several research groups.
