İpek

Board Member

İpek completed her PhD in the Archaea Physiology & Biotechnology group in the Department of Functional & Evolutionary Ecology at the University of Vienna and continued her research as a Post-Doc in the same department. In her research, she focused on developing bioprocesses for renewable energy generation (more specifically bio-hydrogen) with artificial ecosystem design. She is currently working as Associate Director of Research and Development in a Viennese start-up, Arkeon Biotechnologies, that aims to convert inorganic gases (e.g. CO2) into organic food.

İpek is one of the seven board members of Green Labs Austria. She is mainly working on protocols generation, meeting moderation and communication (between members and board), and plastic recycling.
